Blues is a tricky animal. Some of the best blues artists stick to a single voice, a single instrument. Out of Favor Boys decided that six is a better number. On this debut album the beginnings of their style become apparent; Halo is a nice mixture of big band, funk and, of course, blues, creating a ground from which the band can grow.

This album was recorded in 2004, a year that saw the band win the Kalamazoo Valley Blues Association contest and become the house band at Wonderful's in Kzoo.
